The Ghanaian Revenue Authority charged the Courier company DHL, for transporting sample of goods meant for West Africa Grand Tasting Tour. The goods were not meant for sale but for promotion. The tasting took place on the 15 July 2017 at Movenpark Ambassador Hotel, Accra.

I wish to emphasize that the products was not meant for sale but for promotion. It was only 351 bottles of wine and Custom charged the Courier company R91 000 00, which in the past we paid G30 898.62 for the same plus minus wines to Ghana. The Tax laws and process have not changed. The Custom duty has not changed, Custom has put their own amount for clearance on the invoice and added the freight charges towards declared value and calculated the the final amount on CIF value. we will appreciate you help..
